In-feed check and give or ask

Most people scroll past a link without opening it, and several apps show posts with a link to fewer people. A post does best when the point is right there in the feed. The in-feed check looks at one post and tells you if it works without a click. It also says if the post gives something or asks for something, and the calendar counts both for the week.

Check a post in the feed

1. Write the post in Text on the Base text tab in the composer.
2. Press Check in-feed under the text.
3. In a few seconds you see two notes:

- The point is in the post (green) or The point is behind the link (yellow), with a short reason. - Whether the post gives something (help, a tip, a story) or asks for something (to buy, book or click).

1. If there is something to do, What you can do shows it. You choose what to use.

The check is advice only. It never stops you from saving, scheduling or publishing. If you change the text or the link afterwards, the notes fade until you check again.

What you can do after a check

• Write it in. Claude writes a version of the post with the main point in the text, in your voice. Claude only sees your post, not the page behind the link, so it never makes up tips, prices or dates. A detail only you know shows as a gap in [brackets] for you to fill. Links already in your text stay. You read the new version first, then pick Use this text or Keep mine.
• Move the link. When Instagram is one of the accounts, the link goes into the first comment on Instagram and out of the Instagram post. The other accounts keep the link as it was. Open the Instagram tab to see it under First comment (optional).
• Set up a DM keyword. When Instagram or Facebook is on the post but a first comment is not an option, the check takes you to DM automation for this post. People comment a word, and Postfjord sends them the link in a DM. See Automation.

Give or ask

Under the text, This post has two buttons: Gives and Asks.

• Gives: the post helps, teaches or entertains. Nothing is asked in return.
• Asks: the post asks people to buy, book, sign up or click.

Press one to mark the post. Press it again to take the mark off. The in-feed check marks the post too, unless you already chose. When you schedule a post without a mark, Postfjord adds one: first from the words in the post, and only if the words do not settle it, with a short AI check. A mark you set is never changed by Postfjord.

The week in the calendar

In the week view, the calendar shows how the week's posts split, for example 4 give, 1 ask. Only posts with a mark count. A cancelled post does not.

When more than about one post in five asks, and at least three posts have a mark, a short note shows under the title: "Your week leans on asking." It is a nudge, not a rule. You decide how your week looks.

What it costs and what is sent

One in-feed check costs a fraction of a cent from the workspace AI budget. The automatic mark is free when the words settle it, and a fraction of a cent when it needs the AI check. When the monthly AI budget is used up, the check says so and posts are scheduled without a mark.

The check reads the post text and whether the post has a link. The link address itself is not sent. @handles, email addresses and phone numbers are removed first. A suspended workspace cannot run the check and gets no automatic marks.

If you turned on Write it myself in the Creative Dock, the check is hidden and posts you write get no AI mark. The Gives and Asks buttons still work.
