Getting started

From sign-up to your first scheduled post in a few minutes.

Postfjord plans, writes and publishes your social media from one calendar. This page walks through the first ten minutes. Prefer to learn it step by step? The free course Get started with Postfjord takes you through the same setup in five short lessons, each ending in the app.

Early access

Postfjord is in early access. After you create an account, confirm your email address: open the link we send you and press Confirm my email (accounts created with Google are confirmed already), then tell us a little about yourself. We let new accounts in a few at a time and email you when yours is ready. If someone invited you to their workspace, you skip the wait: the invitation takes you straight in.

Create a workspace

A workspace is one brand: its connected accounts, media, brand voice and calendar. You create the first one right after signing up. If you run several brands, add more workspaces from the switcher at the top left; Studio and Agency allow more than one.

When you create a workspace, pick what kind of business it is: a hair salon or beauty, a gym or fitness studio, a restaurant or café, a coach or creator, or something else. Postfjord then fills in a brand voice to start from, five saved replies for the inbox and the keyword and messages of your first comment-to-DM automation, all written for that kind of business. The [brackets] are yours to fill in, and you can change everything. The brand voice step in the checklist stays open until you have looked it over and saved it.

The Get started checklist

After creating a workspace the dashboard shows a three-step checklist: connect a channel, set your brand voice, write your first post. Each step ticks itself off as you do it, and the list disappears when all three are done. Owners can hide it earlier with the cross in the corner.

Connect your accounts

Go to Channels and press Connect on Instagram + Facebook. Facebook opens a dialog that asks which Pages Postfjord may use. Choose all current and future Pages, then pick the accounts that belong to this workspace in Postfjord's own list. Instagram accounts must be professional accounts linked to a Facebook Page.

Set your brand voice

Under Settings → Brand voice, describe how you write, or let Postfjord read your website and recent posts and fill it in. Every AI draft uses it.

Write and schedule

Press New post, write the text or let Claude draft it from a short brief, add images from the media library, pick channels and a time. The post appears in the calendar and publishes itself at the chosen time.

FAQ

Do I need a Facebook Page to use Instagram?

Yes. Meta only allows publishing to Instagram professional accounts that are linked to a Facebook Page. The Page itself does not need to be active.

Can two people work in the same workspace?

Yes. Invite them from Settings → Members. Editors can plan and publish, viewers can only look, owners can also manage members and connected accounts.

What does it cost?

Publishing is always included. Only the AI features draw from a monthly AI budget that comes with your plan. Storage for media has a cap per plan as well.

Is Postfjord down, or is it just me?

Open postfjord.com/status. It checks the app, publishing, DMs, email and the API once a minute, and publishing on each platform every five minutes, and shows the last 90 days. When something is wrong, we write there what we know and when it is fixed. Something not working for you that the page does not show? Use Report an issue at the bottom of the page. A person reads every report, and you get an email that says we got it.
