A restaurant posts on a clock. The lunch special has to be up before people decide where to eat, and the questions about hours and tables come in while you are on the line. Postfjord keeps the posting and the messages short enough to fit between prep and service.
Start with a restaurant's setup
When you create your workspace, pick Restaurant or café. You get a brand voice written for a restaurant, five saved replies (book a table, the menu, opening hours, allergies, how to find you) and a first automation: someone comments MENU on a post and gets your menu and booking link in their DMs. Fill in the [brackets] and it is yours.
Today's special, dictated before service
At 10:30 the special is plated and the photo is taken. Press Dictate on your phone and say it: "short rib sandwich with grilled onions and fries, $16, until we run out". Claude writes the post in your voice for Instagram and Facebook. Check it, set it for 11:15 and go back to the kitchen.
You can talk for up to three minutes. A minute of dictation costs less than a cent.
The rest of the week can be planned on Sunday. Press Plan next week and Claude proposes posts from your content pillars, like the weekend brunch, a new dessert or the people in the kitchen. You approve, edit or drop each one.
Menu, bookings and hours behind one link
Your link in bio page on postfjord.page holds what a hungry person looks for: the booking button on top, the menu with prices, your opening hours and a link to the map. Start from the Café or restaurant template. Add a Latest posts block and the page shows your newest posts with a photo, updated every night.
Every live page has a QR code as PNG or SVG. Print it on a table card, and on a sign in the window so people can read the menu from the sidewalk. If you change your address later, the old one sends visitors to the new one, so a printed code keeps working.
For one event at a time, like Mother's Day brunch or a wine night, make a landing page with its own address.
"Are you open?" at 10 pm
The same questions come in every day. The inbox gathers Instagram and Messenger in one place, and a saved reply answers one in two taps: type / in the reply box and pick it. An automation answers when you are busy. Someone writes "hours" or "open" and gets your hours and menu link at once.
A default reply covers the night, for example from 10 pm to 7 am. Each person gets it once a day at most, and everything waits in the inbox for the morning, with the 24 hour reply window shown on each conversation.
A question about one dish and a nut allergy needs someone from the kitchen. The Allergies reply asks guests to tell you when they book or order, and the specific question stays in the inbox for a person to answer.
Reviews after the visit
The Ask for a review automation thanks a guest in their DMs when they book or pay, with a button to your page on Google, Yelp or Trustpilot. It reaches people who booked or paid through a link from one of your automations, or whose email is on their contact. Instagram and Messenger let a business write within 24 hours of the person's last message, so it goes out inside that window. Each guest is asked once a month at most.
Count the tables and the sales
Connect your booking system and Postfjord counts the bookings each automation, email and page brings in. Calendly and Acuity connect directly. A table booking system that can send its bookings to your own Postfjord address, on its own or through Zapier or Make, works too.
Connect Stripe, and a Stripe payment link for gift cards or a prepaid tasting dinner shows the sales and the amount per automation, email and page. The Results card on the dashboard adds up the month's bookings and sales.
FAQ
Does Postfjord take table bookings or online orders?
No. Keep your booking system and the way you take orders. Postfjord sends people to them from your posts, saved replies and automations, and counts the bookings and Stripe sales those links bring in.
Can the kitchen and the floor staff both use it?
Yes. Invite staff as editors so they can draft posts and answer DMs, and keep the owner role for yourself. Solo has two members per workspace, Studio five.
We have two locations. One workspace or two?
Two, one per Instagram account, each with its own hours, saved replies and inbox. Studio includes five workspaces for $99 a month, $75 billed yearly.
Can I try it with the lunch posts first?
Yes. Free covers two connected accounts, 15 posts a month and one automation. Solo is $39 a month, or $29 billed yearly, with up to six connected accounts and no monthly post limit.
