Mail is the part of Postfjord that keeps in touch by email. It comes with every plan, and you pay for the emails you send, never for the size of your list.

  • 10,000emails a month on Solo. 30,000 on Studio, 100,000 on Agency, 3,000 on Free
  • 0limit on how many contacts your list holds, on every plan
  • 15ready-made email automations, from a welcome series to a birthday email

The list you already have

The people who write to you on Instagram and Facebook become contacts in Postfjord. An automation can ask for their email in the DM, a signup form can sit on your landing page, and Shopify and Stripe tag the people who buy. Mail sends to those contacts, so there is nothing to export and import.

Where a contact on your list comes from
  1. A DM or a comment: An automation asks for the email
  2. A signup form: On a page, your site or a QR code
  3. Confirm my email: Double opt-in, every time
  4. On your list: With tags for where they came from

Every address is checked before it counts. A typo like gmial.com, a throwaway inbox or an address that cannot get mail is turned away. Then the person gets a confirmation email and joins only after they press Confirm my email.

A campaign in four steps

  1. Start from a template

Designed templates in five groups: shops, studios and gyms, cafés and salons, creators and coaches, and everyone, and templates with a big photo. For you shows the ones for your kind of business first, in your logo and brand colors.

  2. Write it, or let Bo write it

Give Bo a short brief, or press Dictate and say it. Bo writes the email in your brand voice and suggests five subject lines. Change any block by hand.

  3. Check before you send

Postfjord flags an empty subject, a vague or broken link, a merge tag with no fallback, text that is hard to read, and an image that is too heavy. The Inbox score shows the three fixes that matter most.

  4. Send, or schedule it

To everyone who said yes, to people with a tag, or to a saved segment. Send a test to yourself first.

A block editor for people who are not designers

  • Headings, text, images, buttons and columns, in your brand colors and fonts.
  • A post card that turns one of your published posts into an email section.
  • Cards for two to six offers side by side, Video, and an Event block with Add to calendar buttons.
  • Products from your Shopify store, with a Buy button.
  • A survey block: one tap answers 1 to 5 or 0 to 10, saved on the contact with a tag.
  • Blocks only some people see, by tag or segment.
  • Free photos to search right in the editor, copied into your Media.

Test, then send again

Test two subject lines sends each one to part of your list, 10 to 50 percent. After 1 to 24 hours, the subject with the most clicks goes to the rest, or you pick yourself. Clicks count, not opens, because Apple Mail opens every email by itself.

A few days later, Send again to people who did not click sends the same email with a new subject to everyone who has not clicked. Bo suggests the subject.

An email automation holds up to 10 emails, with a wait before each one and the hours it may send. It starts when someone confirms a signup form or an email from a DM, gets a tag, joins a segment, clicks a link, buys through Stripe, or on a date.

Emails from what you already wrote

Make an email from this week's posts collects your newest posts every week and Bo writes the email in your voice. Keep it as a draft, or let it send. Your blog as an email reads your blog's RSS feed and sends one email per new post, or one a week.

Share with a friend

Each subscriber gets their own link. A Share with a friend block in your emails shows it, and a friend counts once they confirm and click an email. Set up to three rewards, for example after 1, 3 and 10 friends, each with a tag and its own email.

Move from another email tool

Import a CSV file from Mailchimp, Brevo, Klaviyo, MailerLite, Kit, Substack, beehiiv, Squarespace or Shopify, or read your list straight from Brevo or Klaviyo with a key. Any other CSV works too, column by column.

People who unsubscribed or bounced there come along as unsubscribed. Nothing is sent when you import, and a person at Postfjord looks at a new import before your first email to it, usually within one working day.

Your own domain, set up for you

Emails go out from your name at mail.postfjord.com, and replies come to your own address. On a paid plan you can send from your own domain instead.

  1. Add your domain

Under Email settings, press Send from your own domain. A subdomain like mail.yourbusiness.com is a good choice.

  2. Add the records

Three records for DKIM, plus optional ones for SPF and a DMARC suggestion. Postfjord shows the steps for Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap, Squarespace, Wix and more. On Cloudflare it can add them for you, or email the steps to whoever looks after your domain.

  3. Postfjord checks

Every 30 minutes for three days, then daily. You get an email when it is ready, and if a record disappears later, mail goes out from the Postfjord address until it is back.

Sending that protects your name

  • A new sender starts slowly: up to 500 emails a day for the first three days, 1,000 until day seven, 2,500 until day fourteen.
  • Your first email goes to a small group first, and the rest about two hours later.
  • An address that hard bounces or marks you as spam is never emailed again, from any workspace.
  • Sending health shows 30 days of delivered, bounced and spam reports as Good, Watch or Act now.
  • Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and an unsubscribe counts everywhere in Postfjord at once.
  • Emails go out through Amazon's email service in Stockholm.

Each email report shows clicks per link, unsubscribes, bounces and the bookings and Stripe sales its links brought in. Change link fixes a link after the email went out.

Make a link in bio page and landing pages for one offer, class or guide at your own address, like harbor-coffee.postfjord.page. A signup form on the page brings new contacts straight into your list. Every email you send also gets a web version, and your newsletters an archive page. See Landing pages and link in bio.

FAQ

Do I need my own domain?

No. Campaigns go out from your name at mail.postfjord.com, with your company name and address in the footer. On a paid plan you can send from your own domain instead.

What does email cost?

It is included in every plan. Free sends 3,000 emails a month, Solo 10,000, Studio 30,000 and Agency 100,000. Your list can be as big as you like. Each email to one person counts once, and tests do not count.

Can I send my first campaign today?

You can write it today. Postfjord switches sending on for each workspace after a short check, and the setup page says when it is on.

Is it a separate subscription?

No. Social, Chat and Mail are all included in one Postfjord plan. Every plan has every feature, and bigger plans give you more room.
