Kit is an email tool for creators. Its pricing page lists broadcasts, landing pages, forms, automations and a store for digital products and paid newsletters. If a newsletter is the heart of your business and you sell ebooks or courses to that list, it does the job well.
Postfjord sends email too, with postmail, which is in testing. The same plan schedules your posts, keeps every DM and comment in one inbox, sends the link to everyone who comments a keyword and gives you landing pages. The person who asks for your guide in a DM can join your email list in the same conversation.

What else the page lists:
- Free has unlimited broadcasts, landing pages and forms, tags and segments, and selling digital products and subscriptions. It has no automations or email sequences.
- Creator adds unlimited visual automations and email sequences, SMS marketing, polls, RSS campaigns, 100+ apps and the Kit MCP, which connects ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and other AI apps to Kit. It removes the Kit branding from emails, landing pages and product pages. Creator and Pro start with a 14 day free trial, with no credit card.
- Pro adds Subscriber Signals, engagement analytics, deliverability reporting, A/B tests of the content of an email, editing links in sent emails, a newsletter referral system through a free SparkLoop plan, and unlimited users.
- Selling works on every plan, at 3.5% plus 30 cents per sale, card fees included.
- Recommendations are on every plan. People who sign up to your list are asked to also subscribe to creators you recommend, and those creators can recommend you. Kit's Recommendations page says you find them in the Creator Network.
What Postfjord does
- Email campaigns with postmail, which is in testing: a block editor with ten designed starters in your own logo and colours, checks before you send, and a report with the clicks on each link. Claude drafts an email from a short brief.
- Email series on every plan, up to 10 emails each. A signup form, an email someone gave in a DM, a tag or a segment starts one.
- Signup forms for your website, plus a link in bio page and landing pages at your own address, like harbor-coffee.postfjord.page. Everyone who signs up gets an email to confirm.
- Scheduling to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads, TikTok and YouTube. X is an add-on at $12 a month for 40 posts.
- An inbox for Instagram and Messenger DMs and comments, and DM automations: comment to DM, keywords, story replies and mentions. An automation can ask for an email address in the DM.
- Sales from your Stripe payment links, counted for each email, automation and landing page once you connect Stripe.

Postfjord counts the emails you send, not the people on your list. Each person an email goes to uses one email from the month. Today a workspace sends at most 200 emails a day, so a campaign to 1,000 people reaches everyone within five days. The paid plans can send from your own domain.

Pick Kit if your list is the business. You have thousands of subscribers, email them every week and sell ebooks, courses or a paid newsletter to them. Kit's Free plan holds up to 10,000 subscribers with unlimited broadcasts, and Recommendations bring you readers from other creators. Postfjord sends at most 200 emails a day per workspace today, so a weekly email to 3,000 people does not fit.
Pick Postfjord if your list grows from Instagram and Facebook and you want the posts, the DMs and the email in one plan. A yoga studio in Denver posts a Reel that says "comment SCHEDULE". The DM sends the class schedule and asks for an email, and the new address gets a welcome series. The Free plan covers 500 emails a month, one DM automation and 15 posts.

Yes. The Free plan has 500 emails a month, email series, one DM automation, 2 social accounts, 15 posts a month, one link in bio page and one landing page. Solo costs $39 a month, or $29 a month paid yearly.
Is Postfjord cheaper than Kit?
For a newsletter alone, no. Kit's Free plan sends unlimited broadcasts to up to 10,000 subscribers, and Postfjord Free sends 500 emails a month. With automations at about 1,000 subscribers, Kit Creator is $33 a month paid yearly and Postfjord Solo is $29. Solo also schedules your posts and runs your DMs.
Can I move my Kit list to Postfjord?
Yes. In Kit, open Subscribers, leave the Status filter off, select all and choose Export. Kit emails you a link that works for 5 days. Import the file in Postfjord under Contacts, Import contacts. People who unsubscribed or bounced in Kit come in as unsubscribed, and nothing is sent when you import. A person at Postfjord checks the import before your emails reach them, usually within 1 business day. Forms and sequences do not move over, so set them up again.
Does Postfjord sell digital products or paid newsletters?
No. Put a Stripe payment link in an email, an automation or a landing page, and Postfjord counts the sales it brings in.
