Readers find books on TikTok and Instagram now. That means posting every week while you also write the next book. Postfjord keeps the posting short, sends each reader to the right buy page, and turns a free chapter into an email list you own.

The example is a romance author in Denver with two books out and a third coming in March.

BookTok and Bookstagram on a schedule

Plan a month of posts in one sitting: a quote from chapter 3, a reading nook photo, a "books like this one" list, a short video about why you wrote it. Claude drafts the captions in your voice from your past posts, with a different version for TikTok, Instagram and Threads. You fix what needs fixing, and the calendar publishes while you write.

Each book post opens its own buy page

Instagram has no links in posts, so readers go to your link in bio. Add a Latest posts block to your link in bio page on postfjord.page, and your newest posts show there with a photo. Give each post its own link in the composer, under Link in bio for this post. A tap on the post about book two opens book two on Amazon or Bookshop.org, not your profile.

Under Numbers, every post's taps show on their own row, so you see which post sent readers to the store.

A free chapter that grows your list

Make a landing page for your reader magnet, like jamiereed.postfjord.page/chapter-one, with the cover, two lines about the book and a signup form. Everyone who signs up gets an email to confirm, and then a welcome series you write once: the free chapter right away, the story behind the book three days later, and where to buy it after a week.

Comment a keyword, get the chapter by DM

End an Instagram or Facebook post with "Comment CHAPTER and I will send you the first chapter." A comment-to-DM automation sends the link in their DMs within seconds and asks for their email. Once they confirm, a welcome series starts for them as well, with the chapter in the first email. Comments on TikTok do not start it, so on BookTok send readers to the link in your bio instead.

A countdown to launch day

Make a page for the new book with a Countdown to release day and a preorder button. When the time is up, the countdown can show a message like "Out now" with a button to the store, so the page keeps working after launch.

Readings and signings

Put an upcoming reading on your link in bio page as a block that shows only until the day of the event, so it disappears by itself afterwards. A Booking block opens your Calendly or Cal.com page for a book club visit or a signing slot. Connect Calendly and each booking counts for the page.

Video pages so AI can read your videos

AI apps like ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini read text. They cannot watch a TikTok. Switch on Video pages, and each video you post through Postfjord on Instagram, TikTok or YouTube gets a page at your address with what you say in it, a summary and the questions it answers. A reader who asks an AI app for slow burn romance set in Colorado can find your page.

What Postfjord does not do

Postfjord does not sell ebooks directly. There is no store, no file delivery for ebooks and no checkout of its own. Keep selling on Amazon, Bookshop.org, your publisher's site or your own Stripe payment link, and Postfjord sends readers there. If you use a Stripe payment link for signed copies, connect Stripe and Postfjord counts those sales for each page and email.

Postfjord also does not run a recommendations network between authors. Your list grows from your own posts, pages and DMs.

FAQ

Is Postfjord a tool for BookTok?

Yes. Postfjord schedules and publishes your videos and posts to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, YouTube and LinkedIn. Claude writes a caption for each one in your voice.

What is a reader magnet, and how do I give one away?

A reader magnet is something free, like a first chapter or a bonus scene, that a reader gets for their email. Put a signup form on a landing page, and send the chapter in the welcome email people get after they confirm.

Can I sell my ebook through Postfjord?

No. Postfjord has no store. Link to Amazon, Bookshop.org or your own Stripe payment link, and Postfjord counts the taps, and with Stripe connected, the sales.

What does it cost?

Solo is $39 a month, or $29 billed yearly, with scheduling, AI drafts, automations, 10 landing pages and 30 video pages a month. Free covers two connected accounts, 15 posts a month, one automation and one landing page.
