Canva is a design tool. You make a picture, a presentation, a poster or a whole website there, and it has a content planner that posts some of your designs for you. If design is your main job, it is hard to beat.
Postfjord has a design editor for post pictures, and puts the rest of the work next to it: the calendar, a DM inbox, automations that send the link when someone comments, email campaigns and landing pages. One plan, one price.

What Canva does and costs
Canva's pricing page (checked November 1, 2026) lists four plans. These are its prices in the US. The price in your country can differ, so open the page there.
- Free: $0.
- Pro: $144 a year for one person, which is $12 a month. Canva's Pro pages say the subscription is for one person.
- Business: $250 a year per person, about $21 a month. You pay for the people who accept your invitation.
- Enterprise: a custom price, for organizations of 100 or more people.
Canva's Pro page (checked November 1, 2026) lists more than design types for pictures. It names Docs, Whiteboards, Presentations, Websites and Print, a Brand Kit, a large library of premium templates, photos and other assets, and more than 40 AI tools. Pro includes a Brand Kit for up to 5 brands. Business goes up to 100.
Canva's content planner
Canva's help page for the content planner (checked November 1, 2026) says:
- Scheduling is for Canva Pro, Business, Education and Nonprofits plans. Free users can link one account per platform.
- You can schedule to Facebook Pages, Instagram Business accounts, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Slack and Tumblr.
- Instagram needs a Business account linked to a Facebook Page. Canva's Instagram page (checked November 1, 2026) says you can schedule at most 25 posts in 24 hours, and that Stories and Reels can't be scheduled.
- Pro, Business and Enterprise users can connect up to 80 accounts per team.
- You schedule from the planner or the Share menu. On a phone you can only view the planner.
Canva's pages say the list of supported apps changes over time, so open a design, press Share and check the current list.
What Postfjord does
- A design editor with templates drawn in your brand colors and fonts. Save one design in every size your channels need, then press Share and make a post from it. A design with several pages becomes a carousel.

- Email campaigns with Mail, to the contacts your DMs and pages collect. Our team switches Mail on for each workspace by hand, and sending opens by itself on the paid plans. Ask us when you want it on.
- A link in bio page and landing pages at your own address, like harbor-coffee.postfjord.page and harbor-coffee.postfjord.page/brunch. A signup form on the page adds people to your email list.
- A Canva app. If you design in Canva, press Design in Canva in the composer or the media library, make the picture there and it lands in your post without a download. Open it in Canva again to change it. A free Canva account works.

The plans differ in how much you can use, and Studio and Agency add more workspaces and members. Free leaves out the API, MCP, sending from your own domain, and design downloads bigger than the design or with a see-through background. A plan costs the same no matter how many people use the workspace up to its member limit.

Who should pick which
Pick Canva if design is the job. It makes print, whiteboards, documents and websites, and Postfjord does not. Its library of templates, photos and other assets is far larger than ours. If a printer, a school or a big team needs files in many formats, Canva is the better pick. Check its pages for how editing together with others works on your plan.
Pick Postfjord if the picture is only the start. A coffee shop in Denver makes the week's posts in the editor, schedules them, sends the menu link to everyone who comments MENU and emails its regulars about Saturday's tasting, from one workspace. You can use both: design in Canva, bring it in with the Canva app, and let Postfjord post it and answer what comes back. The Free plan covers 2 accounts, 15 posts a month and one DM automation.

Is Postfjord a replacement for Canva?
For post pictures, carousels and email, often yes. For print, whiteboards, documents and websites, no. Use Canva for those.
Can I use my Canva designs in Postfjord?
Yes. Connect your Canva account under Settings, then Apps. Press Design in Canva in the composer, pick a design and add it to your post. A free Canva account works. A design with paid Canva elements can't come in until you buy or swap those elements.
Does Postfjord charge per person?
