Install Postfjord on a Mac or PC
- Open app.postfjord.com in Chrome or Edge and sign in.
- Press the install icon at the right end of the address bar (a screen with an arrow), or open the browser's menu and pick Install Postfjord.
- Postfjord opens in its own window and gets its own icon in the Dock, the Start menu and the taskbar.
It is the same Postfjord as in the browser, and it updates by itself.
Install the Android beta
- On your Android phone, press Download the beta on this page.
- Open the file when the download is done. Android asks whether your browser may install apps: allow it for this one install.
- Open Postfjord and sign in with your email and password.
The Android app is an early build installed straight from the file, so expect rough edges. From version 1.0 beta (2) it gets new versions of Postfjord by itself when you open it. If you installed the first beta, download it once more: it installs over the old one, and you stay signed in. Signing in with Google does not work in the beta yet: if you use Google to sign in, use Postfjord in your phone's browser for now.
Who can use the apps
Postfjord is in early access. The apps work with any Postfjord account that has access. New here? Ask for access first, and we email you as soon as you are in.

Is the desktop app different from the website?
No. It is the same Postfjord, in its own window with its own icon, and it updates by itself.
I sign in with Google. Can I use the Android beta?
Not yet. The beta signs in with email and password only, and Google sign-in comes in a later version. Until then, open app.postfjord.com in your phone's browser and add it to the home screen.
Why does Android warn me about installing the app?
Android asks before it installs an app from outside Google Play. The file is signed by Postfjord, so each new version installs over the one before.
