One idea, every format

You have one good thing to say: a tip, an answer to a question a customer asked, a short story. One idea, every format turns it into a post for each channel you have connected, an email draft and a section for your website. Each one gives the whole point in its own words, so people get the value in the feed without clicking a link.

Start from an idea

You can start in three places:

• In the composer, press Start from an idea under the box for the AI. What you wrote there comes along.
• In the Creative Dock, press Every format under the page. The page comes along.
• Bo can offer it on the dashboard or in the Manager when you have two channels or more.

Then:

1. Write your idea in What do you want to say?. A few sentences is enough.
2. Or paste the address of your own blog post under Or start from a blog post. Claude reads the post and takes the main point. You can use both: a line on what matters most, and the post it comes from.
3. Under Write it for, pick the channels. All of them are picked at first. Email draft shows when email is on for your workspace. Website section is off unless you pick it.
4. Press Write every format. It takes up to a minute.

Check the cards

Every format comes back as its own card. Nothing is saved yet.

• Each post is written for its channel: short on X, a lesson on LinkedIn, a caption on Instagram. You see the length against the channel's limit, and a note when the channel needs a photo or video, as Instagram does.
• When you started from a blog post, the link sits at the end of the post, or in the first comment on Instagram. The point is always in the text.
• The email card has a subject, a preview text, a heading and the text. When you started from a blog post, a button links to it.
• The website section is a heading and a few sentences. Press Copy and paste it into a landing page or your own site. It is not saved in Postfjord.

Change any text you like. Untick a card you do not want.

Create the drafts

Press Create drafts. Only the ticked cards are saved:

• One draft post per channel. Open each one in the composer to add a photo, pick a time and schedule it.
• One email draft in Campaigns, where you can add photos, change the look and pick who gets it.

Nothing is scheduled, published or sent from this screen. When the drafts are made, the screen lists each one with a link to open it. You also find them in the calendar and the queue as drafts.

What it costs and what is sent

Writing every format is one call to Claude from your workspace AI budget, usually a few cents. If your workspace uses its own AI provider under Settings, AI, it runs on that instead. When the monthly AI budget is used up, the screen says so.

Claude gets your idea, your brand voice from the brand profile, the names and limits of the channels you picked, and the text of the blog post when you paste one. Postfjord reads the blog post through the same safe fetch it uses for your website scan, so only public pages can be read.

If you turned on Write it myself in the Dock, this screen is off for you. A suspended workspace cannot use it. Viewers can open the screen but cannot make drafts.

From an AI app or the API

The MCP tool postfjord_repurpose_idea and POST /v1/ideas/repurpose in the API do the same in one step: they write every format and save the posts and the email as drafts. Nothing is scheduled or sent. A key with the Drafts scope is enough. See MCP server.

One call writes for at most 5 channels, so it finishes in time. Send your own ideaGroupId with the call. If the call fails or times out, send the same call again with the same ideaGroupId: channels that already have a draft, and the email if it is already made, are not written or paid for twice. To reach more than 5 channels, make a second call with the same ideaGroupId and the other channels.
