AI video makes short clips with an AI video model from pictures you choose. You save the people, places and products you use once. A campaign picks which of them its videos show. Then you write an idea, Claude turns it into a few short shots, and the video model makes each shot. The clips land in Media, and you can join them into one video for a Reel.
Find AI video
Press Design in the menu, then AI video under it. On a phone, open Menu first, or use the small words at the top of the Design page.
1. Save your people, places and products
Press Add a picture and pick what it is:
- Person: a character sheet. One picture that shows the same person from the front, the side and the back works best.
- Place: the room or spot where the video happens. A room with one empty wall works well, because things can appear on the wall.
- Product: a photo of the thing you sell, on a plain background.
Give it a name and, if you like, a note such as "always wears the green sweater". Then either:
- From Media: pick a picture you already have, or
- Make with AI: describe the picture in a sentence or two and press Make the picture. It costs about $0.08 from your AI budget and takes about a minute.
Use an AI-made person, not a photo of a real person. The video model says no to photos of real faces, and a video of a real person needs their consent. Make the person with Make with AI, or use an illustrated or 3D character.
Each picture is saved once and every campaign can use it again. Deleting it here keeps the picture in Media.
2. Make a campaign
Press New campaign, give it a name, and tick the people and places its videos should show (up to six pictures). You can add a product photo, brand colors such as #0f2a3a, #f4b400, and a note for every video, such as "calm and warm".
Press a campaign's name to see its videos.
3. Write an idea and check the shots
Under the campaign, write your idea in a sentence or two. For example: "Ava finds a bad review on a paper card, crumples it, burns it, and the wall shows our new class times."
Pick the model and the shape:
- Seedance 2.0 Fast gives the best look. About $0.24 a second.
- Kling 3.0 Standard is cheaper. About $0.13 a second. It uses the place as the first frame.
- The shape is Tall 9:16 for Reels, Stories and TikTok, unless you pick Square 1:1 or Wide 16:9.
Press Write the shots. Claude writes 2 to 4 shots of 4 or 5 seconds. Each shot names your pictures as @Image1, @Image2 and so on, in the order shown above the shots, so the model keeps the same person and place in every shot. The shots follow a few rules that work well: the camera stays still, each shot starts in the middle of the action, cards and text are large and matte, and one shot hands over to the next with a move like a crumple, a burn or a wipe.
Change any shot you like. You can add a shot, remove one, or change its length. Nothing is made yet, and writing the shots costs only a few cents of your AI budget.
4. Start
Before you start you see the price, for example "About $2.91, from your AI budget" for three shots of 4 seconds. Press Start and confirm. Each shot takes 1 to 3 minutes. You can leave the page: each clip lands in Media when it is done.
A shot that came out badly, or that the model refused, can be made again alone. Change its prompt if you like and press Make again under it. The old clip stays in Media.
5. Join the shots into one video
When every shot is made, press Join into one video. Postfjord puts the shots one after the other into one MP4 in Media, with their sound when every shot has sound. Press Make a post with it to open a new post with the video, and add text and music there.
What it costs
- A picture made with AI: about $0.08.
- A video: the model's price per second times the length of the shots. Three shots of 4 seconds cost about $2.91 on Seedance 2.0 Fast and about $1.52 on Kling 3.0 Standard. Prices were read on 2026-10-17.
- Writing the shots: a few cents of Claude.
Everything is taken from your plan's monthly AI budget. You pay only for shots and pictures that get made: a shot the model refuses or that fails costs nothing. A workspace can spend at most $20 a day on AI video. When the budget or the day is used up, Postfjord says so and makes nothing.
Who can use it
AI video is open on the Founder plan while it is tested.
FAQ
Why did the model refuse my shot?
The video model does not take photos of real people's faces. Use a person made with Make with AI, or an illustrated or 3D character, and make the shot again. A shot that is refused costs nothing.
Can I use the same person in many campaigns?
Yes. A person, place or product is saved once, and any campaign can pick it.
Can I edit the shots in the design editor?
Not yet. The design editor makes videos from pages, not from clips. Join the shots into one video and add your text and music when you make the post.
Where are my clips?
Every shot and every joined video is in Media, like any other video.
Who makes the videos?
fal.ai runs the video and picture models for Postfjord. It receives your reference pictures and the prompts, and sends back the clips. Postfjord does not send your contacts or messages.
