What it does
Connect a Google form and every answer becomes a contact in Postfjord. You pick which question is the email, the name and the phone, a tag for everyone who answers, and the question where people say yes to your emails. Those who say yes get the confirmation email. Once they press the button in it, an email automation on your form or your tag starts for them.
Google Forms cannot send answers to other apps on its own. So you paste a short script into the form once, and it sends each answer to Postfjord.
Connect in three steps
- In Postfjord, open Settings, Apps, Google Forms, type a name and press Add form. Then press Show the script and Copy.
- In Google Forms, open the form, press the three dots at the top right and pick Apps Script. Delete what is there, paste the script and press Save.
- Pick setUp in the list at the top, press Run and allow access. Send one test answer, then pick which question is which in Postfjord and press Save.
What moves where
- From Google Forms to Postfjord: each new answer, signed with a secret only your script and Postfjord know. An answer without the right signature is refused.
- From Postfjord to Google Forms: nothing. The script only sends.
- Postfjord keeps the answers you picked on the contact and deletes the rest. Files in a form are never read.
FAQ
Why does Google say the app is not verified?
The script is yours and not from a store. Press Advanced and then Go to the project. The script reads the form and sends each answer to Postfjord, nothing else.
Do I need an email question?
No. Turn on Collect email addresses in the form's settings, and it shows up as Email (collected by Google Forms).
Do people who fill in my form get my emails?
Only when they said yes to your emails on the form and then pressed the button in the confirmation email. Filling in a form alone never signs anyone up.
