What it does
Postfjord reads your Klaviyo lists with a read-only key and brings the people in, the same as a file import but without the file. Klaviyo gives the date each person said yes, and that date becomes their sign-up date. Who unsubscribed, bounced or never subscribed comes in that way and never gets your emails.
Connect in three steps
- In Klaviyo, open Settings, API keys, press Create Private API Key and pick Read-only key. Copy it.
- In Postfjord, open Contacts, Import contacts, pick Klaviyo and paste the key.
- Press Show my lists, pick a list or everyone, and press Get these contacts. Then check the columns and import.
What moves where
- From Klaviyo to Postfjord: the profiles on the lists you pick, with their names, fields, consent and the date they said yes.
- From Postfjord to Klaviyo: nothing. The key can only read.
- Postfjord keeps the key encrypted for an hour at most and deletes it as soon as your contacts are in.
FAQ
Which key should I make?
A Read-only key. Or a Custom key with Read access to Lists and Profiles and nothing else.
What about people who left one list but are on another?
If you pick everyone, a person who left any one of your lists comes in as unsubscribed. To keep them, import one list at a time.
