What it does
n8n links Postfjord to the other apps you use, like Typeform, Google Sheets, Slack or your CRM. The Postfjord node installs in n8n on your own server. Something that happens in Postfjord can start a workflow: a new contact, a form signup, a sale, a published post or a new conversation. A workflow can then add a contact, add a tag, start an email automation, make a draft post or schedule a post in Postfjord.
A scheduled post goes out at the time the workflow gives it. A draft waits in your calendar until you schedule it.
Connect in three steps
- In n8n, open Settings, Community nodes, press Install and type
n8n-nodes-postfjord. - In Postfjord, open Settings, Apps and press the n8n card. Keep Schedule and publish picked, press Make my key and then Copy key.
- In n8n, add a Postfjord node, pick Create new credential and paste your key.
What moves where
- From Postfjord to n8n: new contacts with an email address, form signups that were confirmed, sales from your connected Stripe account, posts that went out with the link on each channel, and the first words of a new DM or comment.
- From n8n to Postfjord: draft and scheduled posts with text, a link, channels and a picture, contacts by email address with their names and your own fields, tags, and a start in one of your email automations.
- For a new conversation, n8n gets the person's display name and the first words, never an email address. People who unsubscribed are left out of new contacts.
FAQ
Does n8n cost extra in Postfjord?
No. n8n is included in every Postfjord plan with keys, from Solo up. Running n8n on your own server is free.
Can a workflow sign people up for my emails?
No. A new contact from n8n gets your emails only after they click the link in the confirmation email. Postfjord sends that email when you turn on Send Confirmation Email in the node.
How do I stop every workflow at once?
Revoke the key under Settings, Apps, Your keys. To stop one workflow, turn it off in n8n.
