What it does

Moving from another email tool? Save your list as a CSV file there and bring it into Postfjord. Postfjord reads the file, shows you what it found and brings the people in with their names, tags and fields. People who unsubscribed or bounced in your old tool come along too, so they never get an email from you.

Postfjord knows the columns that Mailchimp, Brevo, Klaviyo, MailerLite, Kit, Substack, beehiiv, Squarespace and Shopify use. For any other file you match the columns yourself.

Connect in three steps

  1. Export your list as a CSV file from your old tool.
  2. In Postfjord, open Contacts, Import contacts and pick the file.
  3. Check the columns, tell us how the people signed up, and press Import.

What moves where

  • From the file to Postfjord: each person's email, name, tags and fields, whether they said yes, and when they signed up.
  • From Postfjord: nothing. The import sends no email, and Postfjord never asks your list to confirm.

FAQ

Can I import the same list twice?

Yes. Nobody is added twice: people already in Postfjord are updated, and their email permission stays as it was.

Why can't some people get my emails after the import?

The reason is next to each row in the file you can download on the result page. The most common ones are no sign-up date, an earlier unsubscribe, and an address that bounced.
