Academy / Design posts that stop the scroll
Lesson 5 of 5 · 5 min
Make it move
Something that moves catches the eye, even out of the corner of it. You do not need to film anything: your design can become a short video for Reels and Stories, and move on its own.
Turn it into a video
Press Make it a video under the pages. Each page plays for as long as you set, and the pages can glide into each other. A carousel of three pages becomes a short Reel or Story. You can also start with Reel on the Design start page.
Movement only shows in a video. A picture post stays still, so the rest of this lesson is for the video version.
Video is open to testers first. If you do not see Make it a video, it is not open for your workspace yet. Lessons one to four work for every post.
A headline that moves
- Pick the headline and press Animate.
- Click Rise or Pop.
- Under Move, pick Word by word. The words come in one after the other.
Keep it to one moving thing per page. If everything moves, nothing stands out, just as with text in lesson one.
Numbers that count
A number is a strong message: "Over 1,250 members", "4.9 stars", "20 minutes". Pick the text, press Animate and click Count up. The number counts from 0 to yours as the page starts.
A gentle loop
A loop keeps a small thing moving for as long as the page shows, like a sticker that floats or an arrow that bounces toward the button. Under Loop, click Float or Bounce, and keep How much low. It should invite, not shout.
Before you finish
Schedule the post you made in this course. If video is open for you, make a video version where the headline comes in word by word. You now have a post with one message, readable text, your brand, a photo that fits and, in the video, a little movement.

One thing, like the headline. One moving thing stands out. When everything moves, nothing does.
You want "Over 1,250 members" to count from 0. Which animation?
Show the answer
Count up. Count up counts the numbers in a text and keeps your commas and dots.
How does a carousel become a Reel?
Show the answer
Press Make it a video under the pages. Each page plays for as long as you set, and the pages can glide into each other.
