What it does
Write the article in Postfjord, pick your WordPress site with your other channels, and Postfjord publishes it at the time you set. The same idea can go out as a post on Instagram and LinkedIn and as a full article on your blog, from one calendar.
An article has a title, a body with paragraphs, headings and lists, an excerpt, tags and a cover picture. Send it as a published article, or as a draft that you finish in WordPress.
It works with WordPress sites you host yourself, at any web host.
Connect in three steps
- In WordPress, open Users, Profile, and make an Application Password named Postfjord.
- In Postfjord, open Channels and press Connect on the WordPress card.
- Type your site's address and your user name, paste the Application Password and press Connect site.
What moves where
- From Postfjord to WordPress: the articles you schedule, with their cover picture and tags.
- From WordPress to Postfjord: your site's name, and your user name and profile picture.
- Postfjord never sees your normal WordPress password and reads nothing else from your site.
FAQ
What is an Application Password?
A password WordPress makes for one app. Postfjord publishes with it, and your normal password stays yours. You can delete it in WordPress at any time, and Postfjord stops at once.
Does it work with WordPress.com?
Not yet. It works with WordPress sites you host yourself, at any web host.
