What it does
Postfjord publishes to your Instagram account at the time you pick: posts, carousels, Reels and stories. Comments and DMs land in the Postfjord inbox, where you and your team answer them. DM automations can reply for you, for example when someone comments CLASS under a post. The analytics screen shows how each post did.
You can connect Instagram through its Facebook Page, or on its own with an Instagram login when the account has no Page.
Connect in three steps
- In Postfjord, open Channels and press Connect on the Instagram + Facebook card, or on Instagram only if the account has no Facebook Page.
- Sign in and allow Postfjord. Leave every permission ticked, also the one for posting.
- Tick the accounts that belong to this workspace. They show up on Channels right away.
What moves where
- From Postfjord to Instagram: the posts, carousels, Reels and stories you schedule, with their captions, and the replies you send to DMs and comments.
- From Instagram to Postfjord: new DMs and comments, for the inbox and your automations, and the numbers for each post.
- Postfjord never reads your personal profile, your friends or private messages beyond what the inbox needs.
FAQ
Does my account need to be a business account?
It needs to be a professional account, Business or Creator. You switch that on in the Instagram app under your profile settings, and it is free.
Can I connect Instagram without a Facebook Page?
Yes. Use the Instagram only card. Posting, the inbox, comments, automations and analytics work the same way.
Does connecting post anything?
No. Postfjord only publishes the posts you make and schedule.
