Academy / Social media from plan to results
Lesson 5 of 5 · 5 min
Change next month's plan
Reading results is half the loop. The other half is changing something because of what you read. Change one thing at a time, so next month you know what made the difference.
Ask three questions
Look at your review notes from lesson 4 and answer:
- Did I reach the goal number? If yes, raise it a little. If no, was it the plan or the rhythm?
- Which pillar got the most likes and comments per post?
- Which pillar did the least?
Pick one change
Choose one of these, not all of them:
- Shift a share. Give more of your posts to the pillar that did best, and less to the one that did least.
- Move a time. Under Best times to post in Analytics, Postfjord shows when your posts got the most likes and comments. Move your slots toward them.
- Redraft a winner. A post that did well can do well again.
- Change the ask. If people like your posts but do not sign up, put a clearer next step in them.
Shift a share with Bo's Monday idea
Every Monday Bo looks at your pillars. When one clearly gets more likes and comments per post than the others, you see an idea in Plan against reality, like "Proof gets 2 times the likes and comments of your other pillars. Raise it from 30% to 40% and lower Tips from 30% to 20%?"
Press Apply to change the two shares in Strategy, or Not now to put the idea away. Nothing changes until you press. Bo needs at least 3 posts with numbers in each pillar, so a quiet week may bring no idea. You can also change the shares yourself in Strategy.
Redraft a winner
On Week by week, Your best content to repost lists your posts with the most likes and comments in the last 90 days.
- Find a post you want to use again.
- Press Redraft. Bo writes a new version of the same idea, with a new first line and new words.
- The draft opens in the composer. Change what you want, add a picture and schedule it.
Keep a record
Pick the month at the top of Analytics and press PDF report. When it is ready, press Open the report. It shows posts per channel, followers and the week by week numbers with your notes, and you can send it to a client or your team. An owner can press Email me each month to get the report by email early each month.
Update the goal and go again
- Open Strategy. Change the goal if you reached it or if it was out of reach.
- Adjust the shares or the rhythm, one change.
- Write on a note: "This month I changed ___. I expect ___."
- Press Save.
In one month, read the results again. The note tells you whether your change did what you expected, and the loop starts over with more to go on than last time.
How you know it worked
Your Strategy page has a goal for this month and one change you made on purpose. You have a note of what you expect, so the next review has something to check.

Why change only one thing at a time?
Show the answer
So next month you know what made the difference. With one change, a better or worse month has one likely reason.
What happens when you press Apply on Bo's Monday idea?
Show the answer
The two pillar shares in Strategy change. Apply changes the shares in Strategy. Not now puts the idea away.
What does Redraft do?
Show the answer
Opens a new draft of the same idea for you to change and schedule. Nothing is scheduled or posted until you do it.
