Academy / Work smarter with AI

Lesson 2 of 5 · 4 min

What to hand over and what to keep

A simple way to sort your work. AI does the chores, you keep the facts, the voice and the final yes.

Not every job is a job for AI. A quick rule helps: hand over the chores, keep the choices.

Hand over

These jobs are slow for you and easy to check:

Keep

These jobs need you:

Try it on your own list

  1. Write down your five jobs this week.
  2. Put each one in a box: hand over or keep.
  3. For each job in "hand over", write the check you will do before it goes out. For example: "I read the price and the date."

A job with no check you can do in a minute is one to keep.

How you know it worked

You have a list where every handed over job has a check next to it. The check is what keeps the speed from costing you a mistake.

Telling the story of what a customer said in class. AI was not there. The true detail has to come from you.

A draft says "Class starts at 8 am". The class starts at 9 am. Who is responsible for the mistake going out?

Show the answer

You, because you press the button that sends it out. The yes is yours. That is why you read the facts before you approve.

When should you read a handed over job before it goes out?

Show the answer

Every time, even if the check takes a minute. Even small changes get a look. The check can be quick, but it always happens.
