Lesson 1 of 5 · 4 min
Set up your brand kit
If every post is a different color and a different font, people see five small businesses instead of one. The fix takes a few minutes, once. You put your logo, colors and fonts in one place, the brand kit, and Postfjord uses them everywhere.
Let Postfjord find them
If you have a website, this is the fast way.
- Open Settings, then Brand kit.
- Press Read my website.
- Postfjord opens your home page the way a visitor would, and picks the colors it covers most, the colors of your buttons, your fonts and the logo in your header. It also opens one or two pages from your menu.
- Look at what it found, next to a small preview. Change any color. Untick the logo if it picked the wrong one.
- Press Looks right.
Nothing is saved until you press Looks right. The scan costs nothing.
No website yet?
Set it by hand. Pick a background color, an accent color and a text color. Choose a font. Then press Pick from library under Logo and choose your logo from your media. A PNG with a transparent background looks best, so upload it to the library first.
Keep it small
Two or three colors and two fonts are enough: one for headlines and one for the rest. A kit with ten colors makes every post look different again.
Before the next lesson
Set your kit and press Looks right. If the scan picked a color you do not use, change it now.

Untick that logo, pick yours from the library, then press Looks right. You check everything before it is saved. Nothing changes until you press Looks right.
How many colors and fonts does a brand kit need?
Show the answer
Two or three colors and two fonts. A small kit makes every post look like the same brand.
What do you do if you have no website?
Show the answer
Pick the colors and fonts by hand and choose your logo from the media library. The kit works the same way. Reading a website is only the quick way in.
