Academy / Write posts people stop for
Lesson 3 of 4 · 4 min
One clear next step
A reader who got to the end of your post is ready to do one thing. Give them one. "Book, share, follow and tag a friend" gives them four, and most people pick none.
Pick the ask by what you want this week
- More bookings or sales: "Book through the link in bio" or "Reply BOOK and we'll send you the times."
- More leads: "Comment GUIDE and I'll send it to you." The course Turn comments into customers builds the automation behind it.
- More reach: "Send this to someone who needs it." A share puts the post in front of people who do not follow you yet.
- More conversation: a real question at the end, one people can answer in a word.
Make it easy to do
Say exactly what to type or tap. "Comment SCHEDULE" beats "let us know if you want the schedule". Put the ask at the end, and if the post is long, hint at it early too.
Let Check post look
In the composer, press Check post under the text. One of the four notes is whether there is a clear next step. It turns yellow or red when the post ends without one. The same check tells you if the first line makes people read on and if the post may promise a health or money result that could be read as misleading, so you catch both before it goes out. It never stops you from publishing.
How you know it worked
The next step note is green, and when you read the last line out loud, you know exactly what you are asking the reader to do.
