What it does
Make the picture in Canva and bring it straight into your post. No downloading, no uploading. Press Design in Canva in the composer or the media library, pick a size, and the design opens in Canva. When you are done, press Add to post or Add to media library.
You can also open My designs and bring in a design you already have. A design comes in as Picture (JPG), Picture (PNG) or Video (MP4). A picture brings in up to 10 pages, one file each, so a design with several pages becomes a carousel on channels that take one. Each file keeps a link to its design, so Edit in Canva opens it again and the new version takes the old one's place in the post.
Connect in three steps
- In Postfjord, open Settings, Apps, Canva and press Connect Canva.
- Canva opens in a new tab. Sign in and press Allow.
- Go back to the Postfjord tab. The card says Connected with your Canva name.
What moves where
- From Postfjord to Canva: a new design in the size you picked, when you press Design in Canva.
- From Canva to Postfjord: the designs you bring in, as files in your media library, and the list under My designs each time you open it.
- Postfjord cannot see your uploads or your folders in Canva, and it never sees your Canva password. Each person connects their own Canva account.
FAQ
Do I need a paid Canva plan?
No. A free Canva account works. A design with paid elements from Canva's library cannot be brought in until you buy or swap those elements in Canva.
Does Postfjord keep a copy of my designs?
Only the files you bring in. They count toward your storage, like an upload. Each workspace can bring in up to 60 files an hour from Canva.
What happens when I disconnect?
Press Disconnect Canva on the Canva card. Canva stops Postfjord's access at once. The files you brought in stay in your media library.
