What it does
Photos and videos already in Dropbox can go straight into your media library. Press From Dropbox, pick up to 20 files, and Postfjord copies each one. In the composer, the copies are picked for the post as they land.
The same sizes and formats apply as for an upload: up to 500 MB, a picture up to 50 MB, and JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, MP4 or MOV.
It works in the browser on a computer, tablet or phone, and in Postfjord installed on a computer. It is not in the iPhone and Android app or in Postfjord added to a phone home screen. There, open app.postfjord.com in your phone browser instead.
Connect in three steps
- Open Media, or press Choose media in a post.
- Press From Dropbox and sign in to Dropbox in the window that opens.
- Pick up to 20 photos or videos and press Choose.
What moves where
- From Dropbox to Postfjord: a copy of each file you pick, saved in your media library. Each copy counts toward your storage, like an upload.
- From Postfjord to Dropbox: nothing.
- Dropbox gives Postfjord a link to each file you pick, and the link stops working after four hours. Postfjord never gets your Dropbox password or access to the rest of your files.
FAQ
Can Postfjord see all my Dropbox files?
No. Postfjord only gets a link to each file you pick, and that link stops working after four hours.
Why is the button missing on my phone?
The iPhone and Android app and Postfjord added to a phone home screen do not have it. Open app.postfjord.com in your phone browser and the button is there.
