Connect your accounts
Everything in Postfjord starts from a connected account. The calendar publishes to it, the inbox reads its messages, and the analytics come from it. So this comes first.
Pick the right card
Open Channels. Which card you use depends on how your accounts are set up:
- Instagram + Facebook if your Instagram account is linked to a Facebook Page. One sign-in connects both.
- Instagram only if your Instagram account has no Facebook Page. This is common for creators.
- Threads for your Threads profile.
- LinkedIn profile for posts on your own LinkedIn profile.
X has its own card and works the same way. It is a paid add-on.
Instagram needs to be a professional account, Business or Creator. If it is still personal, switch it in the Instagram app under your profile settings first. It takes a minute and your followers see no difference.
Three steps in one window
Press Connect on a card. A small window shows the steps before anything opens:
- Log in on the platform and allow Postfjord.
- Postfjord adds the account. Most cards have one account, so this happens by itself.
- Done. The window says how many accounts were connected.
If something goes wrong, the step says what happened and has a Try again button. Connecting never posts anything.
The one choice that matters
When Facebook asks which Pages Postfjord may use, choose all current and future Pages. Facebook replaces your earlier answer every time you connect, so picking a single Page can disconnect a Page you use somewhere else. You still decide what goes in this workspace: in step 2, Postfjord shows its own list and you tick only the Pages and accounts that belong here.
On Threads, leave Create and share posts on Threads profile ticked. Threads marks it Optional, but without it Postfjord cannot publish for you.
How you know it worked
The account shows up on the Channels screen with its picture and name. If a card ever says Reconnect needed, press Reconnect and sign in again. LinkedIn asks for that every 60 days. The date shows under the account and turns orange in the last week.

FAQ
Do I need a Facebook Page to use Instagram?
No. Use the Instagram only card. You need a Facebook Page only if you also want to post to Facebook.
Can I connect several brands?
Yes. Each brand is its own workspace with its own accounts, calendar and brand voice. Add one from the switcher at the top left. Studio and Agency allow more than one.
