Lesson 4 of 5 · 5 min
Plan your first week in ten minutes
One post is a start. A week planned ahead is what keeps an account alive when the real work gets busy. Postfjord can propose the whole week for you. Your job is to pick.
Feed it a few ideas first
Plan next week reads your brand voice, your content pillars and your open ideas. Ideas are the raw notes: "the new Saturday class", "customer who drove two hours to see us", "why we switched coffee roaster". Jot three or four in the idea notepad beside Bo before you plan. The week then builds on your own material first and invents new angles second.
Plan, review, apply
- Open the Calendar and press Plan next week. It always plans the coming week.
- Read each proposal. Change the text or the time if you like, add a picture, then press Approve or Skip.
- Press Apply, which says how many you approved. Approved posts are scheduled in the calendar. An Instagram post without a picture is saved as a draft instead.
Nothing is published without you. If you do not like the week at all, press Discard plan and ask again.
A rhythm that holds
Three posts a week that go out every week beat seven posts one week and none the next. A simple pattern for a local business:
- one post that teaches something small
- one post that shows the people or the place behind the business
- one post with an offer or an invitation
Your content pillars from the last lesson map straight onto that.
How you know it worked
Next week in the calendar has posts on it, each with a time. The dashboard stops showing an empty week.
