Teach Postfjord your voice
Every draft Postfjord writes reads your brand voice first. A good one is the difference between a post that sounds like you and a post that sounds like a template. You do not have to write it from scratch.
Let Postfjord read you first
Open Settings, Brand voice and pick one:
- Fill from website. Paste your address. Postfjord reads your home page and up to two about pages, adds your best posts when an account is connected, and proposes a description, a tone, an audience and a style guide.
- Fill from your posts. No website? Postfjord reads up to 100 recent posts per account, keeps the 20 with the most likes and comments, and drafts the profile from how you write: sentence length, emoji, hashtags, how you end a post.
Nothing is saved until you press save, so read it first.
Fix three lines by hand
The scan gets you most of the way. These three are worth a minute of your own words:
- Who you talk to. One sentence, as specific as you can. "Busy parents in Austin who want a 30 minute workout before school pickup" beats "health-conscious adults".
- How you sound. Two or three words and one thing you never do. "Warm, direct, a little dry. Never uses exclamation marks."
- Content pillars. The four or five things you post about again and again, one per line. A weekday next to one is fine: "Monday: class schedule". The weekly plan in the next lessons uses these.
Pick the language of your posts
Language of posts decides what Postfjord writes in: posts, emails and replies. Filling from your website sets it for you. You can talk to Postfjord in one language and post in another.
How you know it worked
Go to the composer, give Claude a one line brief and press Generate draft. If the draft sounds like someone else, come back and sharpen line 2. It usually takes one round.
