Run social media for several businesses? Each client is a workspace. With agency branding, the review link, the monthly PDF report and the emails that come with them can say who did the work: the client's own name and logo, and next to it "Prepared by" with your agency's name and logo.
Set up your agency
- Open Account at the bottom of the sidebar and open Agency branding.
- Write your agency's name, 2 to 60 characters.
- Tick Use an accent colour and pick one if you like. It colours the line under the header and the button in the email. Postfjord picks white or dark text on the button, whichever reads better.
- Add a Reply-to email if clients should be able to answer a review email. Without one, replies go to hello [at] postfjord.com.
- Press Save. If the reply-to is the address you sign in with, it says Verified at once. Any other address gets an email from Postfjord with a 6-digit code: type it under the address and press Verify. The code works for 30 minutes, and Send a new code sends another, up to 5 a day.
- Press Upload a logo. PNG, JPEG or WebP, at most 1 MB. A logo on a transparent background looks best. Postfjord keeps it at most 600 by 300 pixels, so a large file is made smaller. You can change the logo 20 times a day.
The branding belongs to your account, not to one workspace. Set it once and use it for every client.
Choose per client
Each workspace you own chooses what its client sees:
- Only the client's brand: the workspace name and the logo from its brand kit, as before. This is where every workspace starts.
- Prepared by your agency: the client's brand, with your agency's name and logo beside it.
Choose under Account, Agency branding, where every workspace you own is listed, or in the workspace under Settings, General, What your client sees. Only the account that owns the workspace can change it, since it is that account's agency the client sees. Other members see which one is on. When the workspace moves to a new owner, it goes back to only the client's brand, and the new owner chooses again.
Where it shows
- The review link. The page your client opens from Send for review shows the client's logo and name, and "Prepared by" with your logo on the right. The first line says your agency would like their thoughts. See Send posts to a client for review.
- The review email. When Postfjord emails the review link, the email has your logo and name at the top and your accent colour on the button. It comes from a Postfjord address with Postfjord as the sender name, so your client's mail app can trust it. When the client presses Reply, the answer goes to your reply-to address once it is verified, and to hello [at] postfjord.com until then.
- The monthly PDF report. The report from Analytics has "Prepared by" with your logo in its header, and your accent colour under it. See Monthly report.
- The monthly report email. The email with the report link has your logo and name at the top, so you can forward it to your client as it is.
The emails to your team stay Postfjord's, like the one that says a client approved a post.
What stays
The words "Sent with Postfjord" and "Made with Postfjord" stay at the bottom of the review page, the report and the emails. The emails come from a Postfjord address, so they reach the inbox. The review link stays on app.postfjord.com.
Change or remove it
Change the name, colour, address or logo under Account, Agency branding and they show at once. A new reply-to address is used once it is verified. A report you already made keeps the look it had: make it again to get the new one.
Remove agency branding deletes your agency's name, logo, colour and address, and every workspace you own goes back to only the client's brand. Deleting your account deletes them too.
FAQ
Is this white-label?
Partly. Your client sees your agency's name and logo next to their own on the review link, the report and those emails. The Postfjord name stays in the footer, the emails come from a Postfjord address and the review link is on app.postfjord.com. A client who has their own account in the workspace sees the Postfjord app.
Why must the reply-to address be verified?
The review email comes from a Postfjord address, so mail apps trust it. Postfjord only sends your client's answers to an address that has shown it belongs to you, so they never go to an address nobody checked. A new address needs a new code; until it is verified, replies go to hello [at] postfjord.com.
Can each client get a different agency?
No. A workspace shows the agency of the account that owns it. If a workspace is moved to another owner, it goes back to only the client's brand. The new owner can then choose Prepared by to show their own agency.
Does it cost extra?
No. Agency branding is on every plan.
