What it does
Codex is OpenAI's coding agent. Connect it to Postfjord and ask it about your calendar, or to plan and draft posts, from the terminal, the Codex add-on for code editors or the ChatGPT desktop app. One setup covers all three, because they read the same settings file.
It is included from the Solo plan, and only the workspace owner can connect it.
Connect in three steps
- In Postfjord, open Settings, Apps, Codex and choose what Codex may do.
- Press Make my key and copy the lines Postfjord shows. Your key is already in them.
- Paste them at the end of
~/.codex/config.toml, start Codex again and ask: "What is in my Postfjord calendar?"
What moves where
- From Postfjord to Codex: what the key's level allows it to read, like your calendar, brand profile and post results.
- From Codex to Postfjord: the drafts it writes, and with the top level the posts it schedules.
- Revoke the key under Your keys and Codex stops working in Postfjord at once.
FAQ
Do I need to install anything?
No. Codex talks to Postfjord's MCP server over the web. You only add a few lines to its settings file.
I closed the setup before I copied the key. What now?
Revoke that key under Your keys and press Set up again. A key is never shown twice.
