What it does
Gemini CLI is Google's Gemini in the terminal. Connect it to Postfjord and ask it to check your calendar, plan a week of posts or write drafts in your brand voice. You sign in with your Postfjord login and pick what Gemini may do.
It is included from the Solo plan, and only the workspace owner can connect it.
Connect in three steps
- Add Postfjord to
~/.gemini/settings.json, undermcpServers, withhttps://app.postfjord.com/api/mcpas itshttpUrl. - Start Gemini CLI and type
/mcp auth postfjord. - Sign in to Postfjord, pick the workspace and what Gemini may do, and press Allow.
What moves where
- From Postfjord to Gemini: what the level allows it to read, like your calendar, brand profile and post results.
- From Gemini to Postfjord: the drafts it writes, and with the top level the posts it schedules.
- The connection gets its own key under Settings, Apps, Your keys. Remove it there and Gemini is disconnected.
FAQ
Does the Gemini app at gemini.google.com work?
It does not let you add your own apps yet. In Gemini Enterprise, an admin can add https://app.postfjord.com/api/mcp as a custom MCP server.
Why does Gemini ask before it uses Postfjord?
Gemini asks the first time it uses a new tool. Pick Allow all server tools for this session to answer once.
