Write a batch in one sitting
Writing one post takes about as long to get into as writing five. The warm-up is the same: open the app, find the photo, remember what you wanted to say. Batching pays that cost once a month instead of twelve times.
The hour
Book it in your calendar like a client. Same day every month, somewhere quiet.
Minutes 0 to 10: ideas. Go through your pillars one by one and write two or three ideas under each. Take them from the last month: what customers asked, what happened, what you changed, what went well. Aim for fifteen, you will use about twelve.
Minutes 10 to 40: drafts. For each idea, write a short brief and let the draft be written from it. Do not polish yet. Getting all twelve down matters more than getting the first one perfect.
Minutes 40 to 55: pictures. Go through your phone's camera roll once and pick a photo or video for each post. Batch this too: one pass through the photos, not twelve.
Minutes 55 to 60: read and fix. Read the first lines only. Fix the weakest three. Lesson 5 puts them in the calendar.
Keep ideas as they come
The ideas step is faster if you collect all month. In Postfjord, the idea notepad sits beside Bo. Type an idea, or press Dictate and say it on the way home. Everyone in the workspace sees the list. When you sit down to batch, the ideas are waiting.
From an idea, Make a post opens the composer with the idea as the text. When the post is saved or scheduled, the idea is marked as used, so the list only shows what is left.
Let Bo write the first drafts
You can also ask Bo directly: "Write drafts for these three ideas from my notepad, one per pillar." Bo reads your brand voice and your pillars, writes drafts and shows each one as a card with an Open button. A draft has no date and goes nowhere until you schedule it. If one is close but not right, press Change it and say what to change: "shorter", "start with the question".
