What it does
Postfjord runs an MCP server, so any app that speaks MCP can list your calendar, write drafts, schedule posts, read your brand profile and work on your emails and pages. VS Code is one of them. You decide what each key may do.
It is included from the Solo plan, and only the workspace owner can make keys.
Connect in three steps
- In Postfjord, open Settings, Apps and open Advanced: make a key by hand. Give the key a name and a level, and copy it.
- In your app, add an MCP server with the address
https://app.postfjord.com/api/mcp. - Send the header
Authorization: Bearerfollowed by your key. In VS Code, both go in.vscode/mcp.json.
What moves where
- From Postfjord to the app: what the key's level allows it to read.
- From the app to Postfjord: drafts, and with the top level scheduled posts, emails and replies.
- Revoke the key under Your keys and the app stops working in Postfjord at once.
FAQ
What can a key do?
Read only looks and changes nothing. Drafts only also writes drafts and adds media, and nothing goes out. Schedule and publish can do everything, including publishing.
Is there a limit?
Apps can send at most 200 inbox replies a day for a workspace, and one key can read at most 5,000 contacts a day.
