What it does
Postfjord posts a short note in the Slack channel you pick when something needs a person: a DM nobody has taken, a comment no automation answered, a post that did not go out, a new signup, a sale or booking, or a channel that needs a Reconnect. Each note links to the right place in Postfjord, so the reply goes out from the right account.
Connect in three steps
- In Slack, open api.slack.com/apps, press Create New App and From scratch, and name it Postfjord.
- Turn on Incoming Webhooks, press Add New Webhook, pick the channel and copy the Webhook URL.
- In Postfjord, open Settings, Apps, Slack, paste the address and press Save.
What moves where
- From Postfjord to Slack: one short note per event, with your workspace's name and a link into Postfjord.
- From Slack to Postfjord: nothing. Postfjord cannot read your Slack.
- Names and email addresses stay out of the notes until you turn them on. The words of a DM or a comment are never sent.
FAQ
Can my team reply to a DM from Slack?
No. The note links to the conversation in Postfjord, and the reply is written there.
How many notes can there be?
Up to 30 an hour and 200 a day per workspace, 10 and 40 on the Free plan. When there are more, one note says so and the rest wait in Postfjord.
